Spare Eyeglasses: Always Update Them when Your Prescription Changes

Like many teenagers who began wearing glasses at an early age, I was eager to switch to contact lenses when my parents allowed me to. Over the years, my contact lens prescription changed, but I stopped replacing my spare pair of eyeglasses with my updated prescriptions. One spring, my seasonal allergies hit me hard one morning and my eyes were too itchy to wear my contacts. I found my spare pair of eyeglasses, and I quickly realized that my prescription had changed so much that I could barely see in them and had to call off work! I then learned the importance of keeping eyeglasses around with my current prescription as my eyes changed.
